Riverside County Students Awarded $20,000 in Scholarships

Over $20,000 in scholarships were presented to the children of 23 Riverside County SEIU 721 members at the start of the Board of Supervisors meeting on Tuesday, Aug. 5, 2014. The scholarships range from $250 to $3,000 and are a part of the SEIU Training Fund, a joint effort between SEIU 721 and Riverside County.

Riverside County Supervisory Members to Receive $1.6 Million in Wage Increases 

Several hundred SEIU 721 Riverside County Supervisory Unit members in more than 30 classifications will receive over $1.6 million in wage increases due to negotiated contract language. The money will come as salary increases of up to 5.5%, many with retroactive pay back to Sept. 5, 2013. The Board of Supervisors approved the first round of salary corrections on Tuesday, Feb. 25, 2014.
