Riverside County Per Diem Workers to Vote on First Contract

The SEIU 721 Riverside County Per Diem bargaining team has reached a tentative agreement with management. If ratified, Riverside County Per Diem bargaining unit members will receive raises and other economic incentives, union rights and grievance procedures, in this, their first contract. Ballots must be received by 5 p.m. on Aug. 5 to be counted.


Riverside County Per Diem Workers Join SEIU 721

After several years of stop and start negotiations with Riverside County, Per Diem workers at Riverside County Regional Medical Center (RCRMC) and Inpatient Treatment Facilities (ITF) finally won the right to organize, and on Tuesday, Sept. 23, after all the votes were counted, workers overwhelmingly voted to join SEIU Local 721.


Honoring Inland Area Social Workers

March is National Social Worker Appreciation Month and this year’s theme is “All People Matter.” All through the month, SEIU 721 celebrated the hard work that Social Workers perform for our community. Highlights of activities included SEIU 721 Riverside County social workers being honored by the Board of Supervisors, worksite lunch meetings held around the county with the culmination of a lunch for Medical Social Workers at Riverside County Regional Medical Center.


Supervisor Stone Assures RCRMC Workers: Your Jobs Are Safe

On Thursday, Feb. 27, 2014, nearly 200 public service workers from the Riverside County Regional Medical Center packed three informational sessions to hear directly from Jeff Stone, Chairman of the Riverside County Board of Supervisors. Thursday’s open forum Q&A sessions at the hospital were hosted by SEIU 721, but all hospital employees, regardless of union affiliation, were invited to attend this historic event due to the importance of the information being discussed.
