San Bernardino Superior Court Units to Vote for Bargaining Team

After joining SEIU 721 in the fall, County of San Bernardino Superior Court workers now have the opportunity to elect a new bargaining team to represent them at the table with management. Members in the Superior Court Services will be voting on Wednesday, June 17, to complete the team.


San Bernardino Professionals Elect Their First Bargaining Team

On Thursday, June 11, SEIU 721 members in the San Bernardino County Professional Unit cast their votes for their new bargaining team. Members came out in force for the election, with high turnout in worksites across San Bernardino County.

After several years of fighting to get out of a corrupt Association that often went against their members’ best interest, over 800 San Bernardino County workers in the Professional Unit voted to join SEIU Local 721 last week.


City of Indio Chapter Selects 2015 Bargaining Team

SEIU 721 City of Indio Chapter members gathered at the end of February to elect alternate members of the bargaining team, meet with Eloy Alvarez, SEIU 721 chief negotiator, and fill out bargaining surveys. The bargaining team heard a financial presentation from the City and discussed bargaining ground rules.


Riverside County Medical Retiree Benefits Bargaining Begins

The SEIU 721 Riverside County Medical Retiree Benefits bargaining team met with County representatives on Tuesday, Aug. 26, for their first bargaining session. The team presented a proposal on improving the $25 a month retiree health benefit. Calling it a “win-win situation,” members encouraged management to consider the proposal on increasing and restructuring the parameters of the current benefit.


Palm Springs Workers Approve New 4-year Contract

SEIU 721 members in the City of Palm Springs voted 87% to ratify a proposed contract with management on Tuesday, July 15, 2014. The four-year contract was approved by City Council on Wednesday evening.
