Another Major Victory in Ventura County!

The SEIU 721 County of Ventura Bargaining Committee has helped win most members over a 1-9% pay in extra increases over three years. This comes after SEIU 721 members helped defeat the pension-killing ballot measure and the SEIU 721 Workload Forum helped fight for and win more social worker positions.

On July 28, your bargaining team met with the County to review the results of the Market Based Adjustment Study, which is part of our current contract. The results are in, and not only is almost EVERYONE getting the 2% wage increase this August 16, over 1,800 SEIU 721 members will get an additional EXTRA 1-9% in wage increases this August 31.


Palm Springs Workers Approve New 4-year Contract

SEIU 721 members in the City of Palm Springs voted 87% to ratify a proposed contract with management on Tuesday, July 15, 2014. The four-year contract was approved by City Council on Wednesday evening.


Palm Springs Members Reach TA; Vote Set for July 15

The SEIU 721 City of Palm Springs bargaining team negotiated a tentative agreement with Palm Springs management on Tuesday, July 15, 2014. City workers will see a 4% salary increase over the four-year contract. A ratification vote will be held Tuesday, July 15.


Riverside County Supervisory Members to Receive $1.6 Million in Wage Increases 

Several hundred SEIU 721 Riverside County Supervisory Unit members in more than 30 classifications will receive over $1.6 million in wage increases due to negotiated contract language. The money will come as salary increases of up to 5.5%, many with retroactive pay back to Sept. 5, 2013. The Board of Supervisors approved the first round of salary corrections on Tuesday, Feb. 25, 2014.


City of Beaumont Members Ratify New MOU

SEIU 721 City of Beaumont members in the General Unit and Public Safety Support Services Unit have both unanimously ratified new two-year agreements.
