This year SEIU 721 City of Riverside members wanted to do something different to commemorate Labor Day, so they reached out to City management with the idea to show department heads, City Council members and executive staff exactly how members provide vital services everyday.
On Labor Day hundreds of SEIU 721 members, families and community allies, marched in Los Angeles and Santa Barbara to celebrate all that is good and strong about being in a union. Other groups held picnics and rallies in celebration of the work we have achieved, and the challenges we have before us.
In recognition of Labor Day, SEIU members in Southern California and across the country are mobilizing their communities to restore fairness to our economy and rebuild our communities.
