Court Workers Win in Superior Court Judge Races

While many people will be talking about election results for various offices in the California June Primary, I wanted to take a moment to congratulate LA County Superior Court Workers. All of our endorsed candidates for LA County Superior Court Judge made it into the top two yesterday, and will go on to the general election. I want to especially congratulate all the union members that took the time to interview the candidates at the union endorsement town hall meeting back in February.

Since 1960, the American Public Works Association has sponsored National Public Works Week. Over 29,000 APWA members across the US and Canada use this week to energize and educate the public on the importance of public works to their daily lives: planning, building, managing and operating at the heart of their local communities to improve everyday quality of life.


LA Countywide Fitness Challenge 2016

It’s the seventh year of Countywide Fitness Challenge! Each year, County employees and their families have become more active and healthy by coming out to local outdoor venues to get their fitness on!  Last year’s Countywide Fitness Challenge brought over 7,200 people out to our events!  The 2016 Countywide Fitness Challenge promises to be even more impressive!
