Honoring our Labor Legacy
Join Southern California’s elected, community and labor leaders in honoring the legacy of four extraordinary individuals who have left their indelible mark in the lives of working families, the communities we live in and our labor movement. The First Annual Labor Legacy Awards hosted by SEIU Local 721 will be held Friday, March 27 starting at 6 p.m., at 1545 Wilshire Blvd, Los Angeles.
Celebrate Women in Labor as Part of Women’s History Month
The Women’s Caucus of SEIU 721 is honoring Women’s History Month with a brunch celebration on Saturday, March 21, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Wilshire Union Hall. “Women of Distinction: Leading into the Future with Excellence” is the theme for this
celebration of the rich heritage of women activism within the labor movement and our communities.
A Transformative Year in Labor
2014 was a year like no other. We are in the midst of an exciting and groundbreaking era for labor–and SEIU 721 has been at the forefront of this transformation. We are leading the fight on multiple fronts–working to protect middle-class jobs, push for a $15 minimum wage, and hold banks and big corporations accountable for paying their fair share.
