With bargaining around the corner, we want to hear YOUR voice. SEIU 721 BU311/312 RNs are filling out surveys to help prioritize our contract proposals. If you are a Los Angeles County Registered Nurse in BU311/312, and haven’t already completed one, please do it today. This information will help the team craft proposals with YOUR concerns in mind.
L.A. County Bargaining Update
If the County wants to be the “employer of choice,” then it needs to provide competitive wages to retain its quality workforce that so many in our communities depend on. The Community is tired of the endless lines at County facilities, and workers are also tired of the insane workload and not being able to provide services in a timely manner for every person that walks through County doors.

Statement on behalf of Bob Schoonover, President of SEIU Local 721:
“In the last 48 hours, the SEIU 721 bargaining team and our Fix LA community partners have finally witnessed some movement at the bargaining table. For that reason we have decided to not initiate a strike today. However, key issues for our members and the communities they serve must still be fully addressed.
City of Indio Chapter Selects 2015 Bargaining Team
SEIU 721 City of Indio Chapter members gathered at the end of February to elect alternate members of the bargaining team, meet with Eloy Alvarez, SEIU 721 chief negotiator, and fill out bargaining surveys. The bargaining team heard a financial presentation from the City and discussed bargaining ground rules.
