LA County and LA City members: Don’t miss our Union Fall Harvest Benefits Fair where you can learn about your benefit plans, grab some food, see live entertainment, meet your Union leaders, and hear from terrific speakers, including elected officials!
The event will be held this Saturday, October 30, from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. at SEIU Local 721, 1545 Wilshire Blvd., in the back parking lot along Shatto Street.
Our A-list group of speakers will include:
- Maria Elena Durazo, California State Senator;
- Miguel Santiago, California State Assemblymember;
- David Green, president of SEIU 721; and
- Kent Wong, veteran labor attorney and director of the UCLA Labor Center.
Other SEIU 721 leaders will be in attendance, too, including: Simboa Wright, vice president; Adolfo Granados, treasurer; and Lillian Cabral, secretary.
Benefit plan representatives will be on hand to handle questions about County and City benefit plans, as well as Union-sponsored supplemental benefits, including chiropractic care, legal services, and cancer and catastrophic illness plans.
Food will be provided by Earl’s Catering (including vegan options), refreshments will be served, and the band Cold Duck will play oldies and groovy jams! (We ask that attendees wear face masks and adhere to COVID-19 social distancing guidelines for this outdoor event.)
