In order to grow our Loyola Marymount University NTT Faculty union, we need to be proud and public. An easy way to spread our message is through our existing social media channels.
We’ve put together a social toolkit with helpful graphics that you can post to your channels to explain why we’re unionizing and to rally our peers, students and community to our cause.
If you don’t know what to say, we’ve also included some tips and suggested language as well.
Use this kit to share your support for our LMU NTT Faculty Union on your Facebook, Twitter, IG, etc.

Non-tenure track (NTT) faculty are the backbone of LMU. We carry some of the heaviest course loads for low pay, little job security, and limited voice on the job.
There is a path forward.
We are forming a union to fight back against the working conditions that harm our wellbeing, our families, our students, and the institution as a whole. #LMUnion

Faculty working conditions are student learning conditions. By mistreating and exploiting non-tenure track (NTT) faculty, LMU is undermining its mission of providing quality education to students while flouting its Jesuit values.
That’s why we, LMU’s NTT faculty, are forming a union to improve our lives, our students’ education, and the integrity of the institution. #LMUnion

LMU has lost its way.
As LMU’s student population has grown, so has the
administration’s reliance on low wage, non-tenure track (NTT)
positions that leave faculty in frightening precarity. Many faculty
members are operating paycheck to paycheck as they take on
second, third, and fourth jobs just to eke out a living.
This is the lifestyle LMU has forced on its NTT faculty—it
is unsustainable and antithetical to the institution’s mission
and Jesuit values.
LMU’s NTT faculty are joining together to combat these poor
conditions and change the course of higher education at LMU
and beyond. #LMUnion

Large endowment ✅
Expensive city ✅
Livable wages for NTT faculty ❌
Non-tenure track (NTT) faculty at LMU are forming a union because something doesn’t add up. We deserve more– better pay, more opportunities for advancement, job security, a voice on the job– and we will fight for better working conditions that respect our hard work, honor the integrity of LMU, and reflect the institution’s values. #LMUnion

All faculty should be able to:
✅ comfortably live off pay from a full-time job
✅ have a reliable & consistent source of income
✅ advance in their respective fields
LMU’s non-tenure track (NTT) faculty are unionizing to make these dreams a reality! Will you join us? #LMUnion
