There is a development fund available for Otis Part-Time Faculty members!

 

The Part-Time Faculty at Otis has an established $15,000 annual fund per academic year in our union contract. Part-time faculty members who have taught at least one course for at least 3 consecutive semesters are eligible to apply for up to $1,500 every two years.

You may receive reimbursements for approved expenses associated with professional development activities directly related to teaching courses assigned such as exhibitions, conferences, and seminars.

This form below must be submitted to the Union’s Labor Management Committee (made up of Part-Time Faculty) within 45 days after the date on which the expense was incurred. The Labor Management Committee will determine if the request is appropriate and approve/disapprove of the requested reimbursement.

Original Receipts must be submitted in order to be eligible for reimbursement.

The Otis administrator on point for helping with reimbursements once they are approved is Matthew Penkala, Director of Academic Administration.
