Hundreds of County of Ventura SEIU 721 members packed into the IBEW Union Hall in Ventura on June 20 to get the latest update on bargaining from the Bargaining Committee.
“Members knew this was an important meeting and they came out. It was great to see a lot of new faces ready to stand up for a fair contract.”
-Ted “Bear” Perez, Bargaining Committee Chair
After four years without a raise workers are ready for the county to agree to increases. SEIU 721 members have been in negotiations with the County of Ventura since February.
SEIU 721 President Bob Schoonover addressed the overflow crowd of members and urged them to support each other as we fight for a fair contract.
The Bargaining Committee will be back at the table with the County on Thursday, June 27. Don’t forget to Purple Up on Friday to support our bargaining efforts.
