Rally to Raise the Minimum Wage for the 99%

photo-group.jpg
At $8 an hour, California’s minimum wage amounts to only $16,640 a year.  That’s $7,000 below the poverty line for a family of four.
Workers are left behind but CEO pay has risen 725% over the last 30 years, and 80% of all income growth goes to the richest 1%.
To jump-start our economy, put more money in the pockets of workersand take care of our families – it’s time to raise the minimum wage to at least $10 an hour.
We can do better. It’s time.
