Disaster Relief for SEIU 721 Members

On behalf of our 100,000-member strong union, my heart goes out to every member and their loved ones who have been impacted by this week’s unprecedented wildfire crisis.

Words cannot express the deep sorrow we feel seeing the devastation throughout Los Angeles County and knowing that our union siblings, and neighbors, are going through this.

To date, more than 12,000 homes, businesses and other buildings have burned throughout Los Angeles County and more than 150,000 people remain under evacuation orders.

We know that without the heroic efforts of firefighters, law enforcement officers, our public works members, our nurses and health workers, and other essential workers, the outcome would be far worse.

If you have suffered a loss, please know that you are not alone. We have your back.

We’re working around-the-clock to provide support and connect our SEIU 721 members with disaster relief if they need it.

In addition, we are gathering information to make an assessment of the impacts on our members. If you’ve been impacted by the crisis, please click here to submit your information.

In addition, we’ve created an SEIU 721 relief efforts page with resources available to you: https://www.seiu721.org/wildfirerelief2025hq.php.

Please look out for future e-mails with more information and bookmark our relief page for updates.

We urge you to remain vigilant and follow the instructions of local authorities as extreme weather continues into early next week.

In Solidarity,

David Green
