SEIU 721 members in our African American, Asian Pacific Islander, Latino, Lavender, Disabilities and Indigenous Caucuses made history by joining with our SEIU caucus siblings from around the country for the first ever cross-caucus unity event in Nevada this October.
Forty-five SEIU 721 members joined more than 500 SEIU union siblings for a weekend of building worker power in a state that’s a key battleground in the fight for worker’s rights.
Attendees educated one another about their caucuses, provided volunteer opportunities to get out the vote, attended a rally with former President Barack Obama and knocked on more than 8,100 doors!
By bringing our international caucuses together for the first time like this, SEIU 721 members have begun to lay the foundation for further collaboration and proven that all of our fights are connected and that we’re stronger together.
