SEIU 721 Part-Time Faculty at Otis College of Art and Design are continuing to flex their union power! Faculty members voted on August 14 to authorize a strike and are ready to go if Otis management doesn’t bargain in good faith and come back to the table with viable proposals.
Otis management’s most recent pay offer amounts to a wage cut after factoring in rising inflation and living costs, and remains far below the state minimum wage for classroom contact hours.
The talented, hard-working faculty who serve Otis students deserve far better, and we will keep fighting!
