The results are in!
LAPMA has concluded their vote count and we’re proud to announce that we overwhelmingly ratified our LA city successor contract.
The vote results conclude a contract fight for the ages.
We began this journey almost a year ago and we never gave up.
We forced the city to respect us when we walked off the job for the first city strike in 40 years, and we came very close to a 2nd strike before reaching a tentative agreement at the 11th hour.
We voted in record numbers through our web portal, through the mail and at our worksites to bring home this historic 5-year contract.
Our vote results lock in 22% raises over the life of the term, including 6% this year.
Our contract now heads to the LA City Council for approval. Please stay tuned for updates.
As always, when we fight…we win!
