On the eve of President-Elect Joe Biden’s inauguration, our union is looking forward to beginning a new chapter in our nation’s history.
America is on a major precipice, facing a three-pronged crisis – the COVID-19 pandemic, systemic racism and a rigged economy that works for the wealthy few. But we feel very confident that the Biden Administration is poised to rise to the challenges of our time.
President-Elect Biden brings decades of experience to the White House, proving capable of working with both sides of the aisle while simultaneously ensuring that America’s workers have a strong voice. We remember his direct interaction with SEIU 721 members at last summer’s “Unions for All” summit in Los Angeles and we are very pleased with his recent announcement from Washington, DC, restating his commitment to a national $15 minimum wage.
All of us in the Labor Movement should feel confident with the Biden Administration entering the White House – and Americans of all backgrounds should feel rightly hopeful that a more constructive future lies ahead.
Laughable. The man responsible for the incarceration of more black males via the ’94 crime bill and the woman who unthinkingly followed through with those orders. Brilliant
