There’s still A LOT to be Thankful for in 2020

Perspective.

2020 has brought us many things and perspective is one of them.

For many of us, 2020 has been the hardest year we’ve ever had to live through as the COVID-19 outbreak has affected every part of our lives. But despite all the devastation, there are still so many reasons to give thanks.

We all know someone who has been negatively affected economically during this pandemic, whether they’ve lost part of their income or their job altogether. And for more than 260,000 American families, this holiday season will be their first without a beloved friend or relative whose life was taken by the virus.

Having our union is one of the things we can be thankful for as SEIU 721 has helped us stay safer on the frontlines. Today we ask you to join your fellow union members in a united moment of gratitude. Take 1 minute now to strengthen our union by clicking here and signing up or updating your membership.

It’s all of our hope that 2021 will be a brighter year, that we’ll be able to move forward and start to repair some of the wounds that 2020 has left us with. Our shared hope for a better year is why we must come together and stand united with a strong union voice. Because despite our members remaining on the frontlines throughout this crisis – we are seeing attacks on our public workers – from possible furloughs and cuts to attacks by anti-worker forces bent on weakening our union voice when we need it the most. Together we will fight against the virus, the economic downturn impacting working people and those deceptive anti-union spam emails.

Together we will make sure we’ll have even more to be thankful for next holiday season by keeping our union strong.
