SEIU Local 721 members at every worksite are uniting to win a fair contract and management is losing their cool as they deal with our escalating pressure!
On June 21st our brothers and sisters at DPSS in Perris led their own peaceful “March on the Boss” during their break time and were illegally retaliated by two Regional Managers. The managers tried to intimidate them by telling them they were going to be written up and disciplined.
What the managers did is illegal. Management cannot conduct surveillance against you, threaten or intimidate you, nor retaliate. The reality is management is panicking because County frontline workers are standing unafraid and united for a fair contract!
Under Federal Law, you have every right to engage in concerted activities for the purpose of collective bargaining a.k.a. winning a contract that Raises Up Riverside County.
The County’s lawbreaking will not be tolerated! The Bargaining Team immediately filed Unfair Labor Practice (ULP) charges against the County for interfering with, restraining and coercing employees for exercising their union rights. We are gaining momentum and management is cracking under our pressure!
Hundreds and hundreds of SEIU Local 721 members are not backing down and continuing to take our efforts directly to
management.
