For years we rang the alarm on the DCFS caseload crisis and the severe understaffing at LA County to no avail.
The very circumstances that led to the tragic death of Gabriel Fernandez are still largely in place today in the Palmdale office where DCFS top directors failed to appropriately assign caseloads and staff to respond to the case.
Now they’re criminalizing the work that we do to protect the children and families we serve! We must stand together and demand real accountability from LA County and DCFS to bring real justice.
