On Tuesday hundreds of LA County members descended on the Hall of Administration to demand a fair contract that respects our work.
Members from across LA County came out in force to make their voices heard. Together, we made our call loud and clear: it’s time to RAISE UP ALL OF LA COUNTY!
“If you want to be providers of choice, you’ve got to be the employer of choice. You must invest in your nurses and nurse practitioners.”
-Ileana Meza, Nurse Practitioner, LAC/USC
“Our patients pick us because we provide the best care. It’s crucial that the county also provide the best jobs. Together we can win a great contract for all of LA County.”
-Kelley Kubota, Physical Therapist, Rancho Los Amigos National Rehabilitation Center
“Our caseloads and workloads are completely out of control. That’s not right. When things aren’t right we’ve got to make a move. It’s time to raise up all of LA County.”
-Lynette Long, Child Support Services, Commerce
“We’ve enrolled over 2 million new people in county medical programs. Our work has increased greatly and has become more and more complicated – we are just asking to be recognized and compensated fairly. We’ve done our part, it’s time for the County to do its part too.”
-Julia Marin, Eligibility Worker, Department of Public Social Services, East Valley
