Look forward to an action packed day with guest speakers, musical performances and arts and crafts for the kids.
We are asking everyone to commit to a fast from 9 am to 9 pm on July 24, if you are able. Your commitment and solidarity will speak volumes.
Your action will send a message: We have an obligation as a nation and as individuals to care for these children and keep them safe. Many SEIU leaders will fast for the entire 5 days, and we encourage you to join us in the fast on July 24.
Things to Keep in Mind If You Choose to Fast on July 24:
- All solidarity faster must be 15 years of age or older and in good health.
- Fasting begins at 9 am and ends at 9 pm after a non denominational spiritual gathering.
- It’s okay to drink water, tea and/or juice during the fast.
