SEIU 721 Gold Coast Transit members voted to approve the Tentative Agreement with Gold Coast Transit by a strong majority. The bargaining team had been meeting with GCT negotiators since January of 2014.
Over the course of bargaining, members participated in several actions to advocate for a fair contract, including informational pickets and speaking up at Gold Coast Transit board meetings.
Gold Coast Transit members voted YES to:
- Salary increases over the four years of the contract
- Increased contributions to healthcare costs
- More time to conduct important pre-trip inspections to increase safety
