As union members across the country face attacks, leaders and members of SEIU 721 are doing our part to help protect workers’ rights.
- SEIU 721 President Bob Schoonover (left) rallied in Washington D.C. on Feb. 23 to oppose the legislative attacks conservative lawmakers have unleashed to dismantle the collective bargaining rights for working families in America. Schoonover joins tens of thousands of workers and supporters who have rallied nationally to decry the threats on hardworking nurses, social workers and trash collectors.
- SEIU 721 Vice President Linda Dent and members Blanca Gomez and Joaquin Avalos among a dozen others arrived in Madison, Wisconsin on Feb. 23 to ensure basic protections for working families.
Thank you for you continued fight for justice. We must continue tostand strong against anyone that would take away union members rights to COLLECTIVE BARGAINING! If I was not in a battle to win my re-election for April 19, 2011, I would join you on the picket line.
if california hadnt sold out energy under grey davis and the pension funds hadnt gambled on wall street this wouldnt be happening? maybe pension funds should quit gambling on wall street and just stay with safe investments like being its own bank and collecting interest or realistic investments.
Why weren’t we notified of this trip. It just so happens that I have family in Madison and would have loved to participate in this rally. This affects members of my family directly and I would love to be considered for future rallies in Madison.
